THE AURORA-3C OFFERS THE LARGEST SPACIOUS
CABIN FOR ITS LIGHT WEIGHT CATEGORY
3 PERSON PERSONAL SUBMARINE WITH GREAT VIEW - DEPTH RATED TO 470 M - LOW HEIGHT AND UNDER 4 TON DRY WEIGHT
SEAmagine's new AURORA-3C personal submarine is a compact private submersible both in size and in weight, that holds 1 pilot and 2 passengers, is ABS or DNV-GL Classed, and has a depth rating of up to 470m (1542ft). The configuration of this personal submersible provides the occupants an exceptional view, unobstructed by top hatches and side pontoons, and offers the largest spacious cabin space compared to any other private submarine in this low weight category.
GENERAL DIMENSIONS
DEPTH RATING: 470 m (1542 ft)
LENGTH:: 3.354 m (132 in)
WIDTH: 2.502
m (99 in)
INSIDE DIAMETER: 1.510 m (217 in)
HEIGHT: 1.85
m (73 in)
HOIST POINT HEIGHT: 1.65 m (65 in)

EXCELLENT FIELD OF VIEWS
The AURORA-3C offers unobstructed views
upwards, front, and side for the front passengers. The AURORA-3C offers a
full 180 Deg window and a larger inside diameter for more comfort, with the
passengers sitting closer to the front window giving a far greater field of
views in all direction. All viewing angles from the front passengers are
uninterrupted by the side pontoons, any front retainer ring, or top structures.
Furthermore, the pilot in the center rear has an acrylic dome overhead giving a
good view upwards and rearwards.
The private submersible's large entry hatch is configured as an acrylic transparent dome and provides the pilot additional upward and rear view.
SPACIOUS COMFORT & AIR CONDITIONING
The AURORA-3C mini submarine with its large 1.51 m
inside diameter offers the most spacious cabin to its passengers compared to
any other submersible in its weight category. This private submersible
model has a proper closed circuit air-conditioning system to ensure comfort and
reduce humidity levels.
SAFE & PRACTICAL SURFACE OPERATIONS
Surface operations are very important in any
submersible operations and extensive attention is paid by SEAmagine on how to
do this best based on over 12,000 dives the company has accumulated on its
vessels around the world. SEAmagine has constantly driven the market for many
years to address surface logistics, as opposed to leaving it as an
after-thought as most other manufacturers do.
The
AURORA-3C patented design answers 4 very important points for surface
operation.
1.
How to best safely board passengers
2.
How to manage surface logistics
3.
How to offer solid tie-up configuration when docked.
4.
How to provide excellent surface towing capability when necessary.
The AURORA-3C tilts at surface only for
docking and boarding of passengers to ensure higher safety and comfort. This
approach provides a horizontal walking deck with a high freeboard and is
equipped with pull-up handrails so that people have something robust to hold on
to when boarding. The AURORA-3C has a large hatch to again increase the
boarding comfort of passengers.
The AURORA-3C levels out
at surface once people have boarded and the hatch is closed and is driven at
surface horizontally to the dive site.
SURFACE CONTROLS
All of SEAmagine’s submersibles as with the AURORA-3C
have a hardwired external control allowing the operator to maneuver the vessel
from the top deck without having to go inside the hull or have any hatch open.
Once the submersible has been launched from the mother-ship, this external
control station greatly simplifies operational logistics until the sub is tied
off safely ready for boarding. The AURORA-3C’s surface deck is made more
horizontal by the pilot as he stands by the hatch with handrails up to ensure
safety.
SAFE DOCKING
The
AURORA-3C pays special attention to have a proper docking configuration with a
solid aft linear rail that provides simple geometry to match up a swim deck or
tender. The aft rail allows for up down movement without the sub hanging up on
the docked tender or platform.
SURFACE TOWING
For short distances, the submersibles are
driven at surface but for instances when the dive site is far away from the
mother ship, the submersibles are towed to the location. The ability to tow the
submersibles is an essential contingency measure to ensure that it can always
be brought back to the mother ship in adverse conditions.
The AURORA-3C has dedicated tow points and an incline such that when towed at surface the vessel is pulled out of the water, reducing drag and allows for a faster towing speed. The Aurora-3C is towed in reverse, thereby protecting the acrylic cabin from surface debris.
SMALL SIZE
The compact configuration allows this personal submarine to be stored or transported in a standard shipping container. Furthermore, the submarine's low height and even lower hoist point makes it ideal for setup in confined spaces without compromising on comfort, practicality, robustness, and performance.
